We start with why

O-Studio founder Tim Bateman played 17 years of professional rugby with the Crusaders and as captain of the Māori All Blacks. Tim is a father of two teenage girls, speaks Japanese, studied law at Canterbury University, writes children's books and is an all-around good guy. He got into well-being through the trials of playing professional rugby while navigating family life, with his wife Laura having been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in her mid-twenties.

Tim and Laura opened Cloud 9 Float Club in Christchurch after finding the practice in Singapore while Laura was undergoing treatment there. Tim credits flotation therapy with making him a better rugby player, father, husband and more relaxed person.

Tim loved the experience so much that he decided to go one step further and build a fully stocked well-being centre, designed to equip people with the tools to confront their challenges head-on: O-Studio.

Fast forward to now, O-Studio Rolleston owner, Rachael, is bringing O-Studio to her community. To be a place for people to come together each day, each week, each month, to take one step closer to their best.
